AND A CLEANING CLOTH TO WIPE UP THE MESS AFTER
Then, place the container underneath where the nut is and start to undo. You shouldn't have to completely take off the bolt for the oil to drain but you might want to clean the little filter that will pop out if you do. Once the engine oil is fully drained from the Honda engine put the nut back on finger tight and start to fill the engine with the new oil, checking the level with the dipstick as you go. If you manage to overfill the engine just loosen off the nut and let a little bit out to satisfy. Last of all tighten nut fully and wipe clean, dispose of the old oil correctly and run bike on tick over for a few minutes. You then simply take your healthy Honda xlr for a very good ride!

hi victor, this is something i get asked alot and to be honest you need to be realistic about what can be acheived with a four-stroke 125. The basic tips are making sure your bike is well maintained i.e gaskets, oil, air filter, ohc is running smoothe with no tapping, spark plug etc. once you have those checked you can look at performance parts and there are a few listed on my site like the carb, race can, air filters are now available and there are bigger jets out there to try aswel. hope this ocupies you and dont hesitate to ask me anything i will be glad to help you if i can. thanks, nick

what engine oil do i use in my xlr 125
My xlr125 will do 95mph
What did u do to it ?
According to the xlr shop/repair manual 10w40 and/or 10w50 oil is good
